Dr. Febres believes in the early intervention of children malocclusion (bad bites), for children 7 and older. Clinical experience shows that significant crowding will not resolve itself. Crowding progressively gets worse with the secondary effects being more complicated than the initial problem. Studies show early treatment results in a better facial profile. The length of time for early orthodontic treatment is typically longer than late orthodontics, but patients complete treatment before the end of middle school, and the beginning of unforgiving adolescence. Dr. Febres practices early treatment because she believes that the child is the real winner when early treatment is performed.
